Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film productions in the language. Her first appearance as an actor was in Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer for the Madras High Court. Her younger sister works as an Belgian research assistant that has a job in Leuven. Jeremiah was raised in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was an avid geek and was psychiatrist once she had completed the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea started playing the piano classically at the age of eight. By the age of 10, she was involved in the Jackson Five-style group known as Young Stars which formed the base of her early singing and music composing career. In college, she was also performing as a theatre artist. She was also in a variety of stage shows put on by The Madras Players. She served as the head of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her stage career with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the 2006 tea commercial featuring Shiva. The actress also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. Her performances have been all over India. She had a short role during the climax of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon enlisted Andrea portray a lead character after she sang in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, whose husband engages in an affair and is blackmailed. Andrea got the role after actors Simran Shubana, and Tabu were sought out. which released in early 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny acting role as a support in Venkatprabhu's film Mankatha that was launched in August 2011 In 2013, she was the first to debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's love story Annayum Rasoolum.
