Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor and model who is primarily involved in Indian cinema. She is also the winner in the prestigious 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez came from a family of Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian heritage. She lived her first years in Bahrain. After earning a mass communication degree from University of Sydney, she was employed for a time in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for some time before getting into the model industry. After representing her country at Miss Universe 2006, she gained a reputation as one of the best model in Sri Lanka. Her role as Jasmine was cast in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' during her 2009 professional tour through India. In 2011 she was cast as the role of Priya in the role of the female lead on "Murder 2". The film received critical and commercial success, that led to a successful professional career path for Fernandez. Since then, she has been in films such as Housefull 2 & 3, "Race 2", "Definition Of Fear" and Judwaa 2. She has been awarded numerous prizes and has been a brand representative for several global companies. Active in the community, she has been a patron of several charitable and non-profit organizations.
